Patrice Aminati has been fighting cancer for a year and her family has been a great source of support for her. But initially sharing the diagnosis wasn’t easy.

Patrice Aminati was diagnosed with black skin cancer in the spring of 2023. After presenter Daniel Aminati’s wife received the news in the fall that she was free of metastases, a bitter setback followed at the beginning of the year: metastases had formed in her lungs. The diagnosis is a great burden not only for Patrice Aminati, but also for her family. This made it all the more difficult for the 29-year-old to inform her relatives at the beginning.

In an interview with RTL, Patrice Aminati remembers the time when she was diagnosed over a year ago. “The worst thing for me was having to call my mom and tell her that. I tried to say it very softly, to play around with words a little,” she says and adds: “I know that with her Being able to always talk about everything is also important.”

“I have no doubt that I am healthy”

Patrice Aminati continues to believe in the best: “I have no doubt that I am healthy and will be and stay healthy. I don’t think about the fact that it could be different and that’s what I focus on and that’s why it will happen that way. ” And her mother Patrice Fischer, who shares the first name with her daughter, probably does the same. “I’m just hopeful and positive about the future.”

Nevertheless, she finds it difficult to talk about her daughter’s illness. “I try not to talk about it, not even with other people. I can’t. We really try to live normality,” says Patrice Fischer. She emphasizes: “It’s no use lying in the corner and arguing. There’s nothing left for us anyway. The only thing we can do is move forward, move on.”
