The President of the Republic’s state visit to China started yesterday, Thursday 31 August. On the first day of his stay in China, Patrice Talon met political authorities as well as investors.
It was at the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) school museum that the head of state began his first day with discussions with the vice-president of the Party School, Xue Chuntao. This school, founded in 1933, is renowned as a center of excellence that trains future Chinese leaders. “Sustainable development is never the result of chance. You can clearly see that it is a process, and this school shapes the thought and implementation of actions over several generations”, declared the Head of State at the end of these exchanges.
Exchanges with investors
The President of the Republic accompanied by three of his ministers, also met with Chinese investors. He introduced them to his country “as being a center of attraction in Africa, an entry point for China not only for the local market but above all for the entire West African sub-region”, indicates the presidency of Benin.
The State visit of the President of Benin continues until September 3. It should be marked by the signing of several agreements.
