Shahrukh Khan replied to a fan’s question, ‘Pathan is an action film with a patriotic feel to it’. Shahrukh’s answer was in the question and answer section held for Pathan’s campaign. At the same time, to a fan’s question why films like Chakde India and Swadesh are not being made, he replied, ‘Haven’t you done all that, how many times should you do it?’
The Mumbai police registered a case against Pathan last day. The case was filed following a complaint that the song Besharam Rang was against Hinduism. The complainant is Sanjay Tiwari, a native of Mumbai. The complaint is that the film insults Hinduism. Madhya Pradesh’s Ulama Board has also come forward demanding a ban on the film. It is alleged that the film insults the Pathan sect among Muslims. Madhya Pradesh Ulama Board President Syed Anas Ali has demanded a nationwide ban on the film.
