The band remembers Di’Anno as a pioneer both on stage and in the studio, emphasizing that he will be fondly remembered by both band members and fans around the world.

– It’s just so sad that he is gone. I was in touch with him recently; we texted each other about West Ham and their ups and downs. At least he kept going with concerts until recently, that was something that kept him going, being out there when he could. He will be missed by us all. Rest in peace, mate, writes Steve Harris.

Di’Anno was born in East London on May 17, 1958, and rose to fame as the vocalist for Iron Maiden. He sang on the band’s groundbreaking debut album “Iron Maiden” and the influential follow-up album “Killers”.

After leaving Iron Maiden, Di’Anno had a long career with the bands Battlezone and Killers, as well as several solo releases and guest appearances.

Despite serious health issues in recent years that limited him to performing in a wheelchair, Di’Anno continued to entertain fans around the world, writes Louder.

– Conquest Music is proud to have had Paul Di’Anno in our artist family and asks his legion of fans to raise a glass in his memory, writes the record company.

Di’Anno joined Iron Maiden in 1978 after being invited to audition. He later admitted that he was unsure if he fit in with the young heavy metal band from London.
