“For me it was about composing from my truth, that is, I couldn’t compose about other things or about other topics, for me it was very important to give my message, to be honest and honest with myself.
“This began to be created end of 2022 and it comes to light until this 2024 and a lot of things have happened in that time; like for example, that process of trying to figure out what was most important to me, if I was really ready and wanted to do this, how I wanted to share something so personal and good, in the end I decided on the value of taking it out“, the Spanish singer-songwriter said in an interview with this newspaper.
Although, each topic of the EP Tsunami Consisting of six songs, it has very personal themes of the singer, she considers that they can be identifiable and reappropriated by each listener, because “the true power is the message”, which is shown in the great reception that it has had. had the production.
“Each song talks about a very specific topic and I think that is what makes people feel identified with it and, therefore, like it, share it and, in the end, it has an impact on the person who listens to it and discovers it, So I think that the most important thing about this is obviously, without taking away value from the musical production Nor, of course, to the image, I think the most powerful thing here is the message,” said Cendejas.
In this sense, the Spanish singer, who has gained great popularity among the Mexican public, assures that her style now has a sharp difference with her previous work, FOMO.
“There is a clear change and not only in aesthetics, but I have also gone through many things, So inevitably I am no longer the same as two years ago. And of course for me it is a change of creative direction, of message artistically speaking. In fact, it is a turn that I have been wanting to make for some time and I think I was simply preparing for it, but I always wanted to get to this point,” he clarified.
There will also be a new air when it comes to performing live, because Cendejas said that in addition to touching everything Tsunamiexpects a change of musical direction so that the songs from the past do not sound like they used to: “there is a rather drastic change in that aspect, I also have another formation of only keyboard players. I no longer have a band, it is quite different,” he explained.
Paula has already performed at the Tecate Festival Emblem and in the Flow Fest and hopes to return to national stages with this new stage in his musical career.
“If I have something to say about Mexico, They always welcome me with open arms, it is an exceptional affection and I would say that I have only felt that love in that country, I really do and I always love it and I hope that this year we can return,” he concluded.
