Pavel Maykov got stuck in comedies of the second freshness

by time news

The audience has no reason to complain about the deficit of Pavel Maykov. Now the actor is offered every day, and in double quantity. First, Pavel is shown in the new season of Vacation, and then non-stop in Girls with Makarov. And here and there Maykov plays about the same thing.

The roles are, of course, different. In “Vacation” Pavel Maykov reincarnates as the father of the family on a summer vacation, and in “Girls with Makarov” he is a strict mentor of young policemen. But both of the actor’s characters are 100% macho, who usually act first, then think, and certainly do not go into their pocket for a joke.

It would be unfair to call these series bad. They serve their comedic purpose and are only as funny as their audiences want them to be. And Maikov plays in them what the target audience requires, and plays quite diligently. Perhaps unwittingly, Pavel turned into a star of not the most virtuoso comedies, and this genre really sucks an actor whom many considered worthy of more.

Observant viewers, of course, will say that Maikov lives not only in comedies. Last year, the actor played a major role in the social drama “Contact” (now filming the second season), where his hero tried to find a common language with his daughter. This year, the exciting retro-noir “Patient Zero” about the beginning of the AIDS epidemic in the USSR was released, and here Maikov also plays one of the main roles.

However, films and series with more complex dramaturgy are inferior to big laughs in terms of resonance. We like to watch comedies and scold them, therefore, in the reviews of sofa critics, Maikov’s roles in such projects are regularly rated in the spirit of “well, it’s come, and everything started so well in the Brigade.”

Of course, the greatness of the “Brigade” is now seen as something very far-fetched. And Maykov himself, calling the “Brigade” in one of his interviews a series extremely harmful to society, is absolutely right. Nevertheless, after the role of the Bee, it seemed to many, not unreasonably, that all paths were open to the actor.

Among the dozens of films and series in which Maykov played after the Brigade, there are, frankly, few masterpieces, but some were clearly not in vain. Probably, it makes no sense to dramatize and call the comedies, in which the actor is now acting, products that cross out everything that happened before. But Paul nevertheless decided on a certain compromise.

This compromise is called “stable work”. From the outside, everything resembles diligent work in the office. Routine, of course, but it’s warm, light, the salary is on time, sometimes a good team comes across. And a similar clerkish way of life is now led by many of Maikov’s colleagues. It makes no sense to scold them for such a choice. In the end, each actor has his own view of the profession. True, the profession in such a situation is less and less like a creative one. But in the office, this is not necessary.

MALOZEMOV TREATS FROM RABIES

Sergey Malozemov plunged into the problems of reproduction. Personally, for himself, the father of two children solved these problems in many respects, but in a global sense, there is still a lot of interesting things left.

Sci-pop is clearly not a genre that is taken seriously in the world of big-time television. It seems to be interesting, informative, but clearly not a show for the masses. That is why the enthusiasm of the creators of such programs is very impressive. Sergey Malozemov has been talking on the air about living and dead food for several years now, and he is also studying advanced scientific technologies.

In the Sunday Science Investigations series, he and the experts involved studied the most advanced ways to have children. Perhaps, for those immersed in the subject, the proposed stories about gene editing, genetic social networks and artificial wombs did not carry anything radically new. Nevertheless, right now Malozemov and K˚ have become downright advanced television squad.

Recently, cosmopolitanism has been regarded here as a delusion. What is such a border? Is she friendly or not? And if not friendly, then in relation to everything that happens there, you need to observe a special tone of the story. In Malozemov’s programs, the cult of science still reigns, regardless of its passport data.

Now such cosmopolitanism is very important. When adults and people of some social standing demand to ban Halloween and thus protect our people from obscurantism, a calm conversation about international scientific achievements can become something of a vaccine against rabies, which is spreading not without the participation of some respectable-looking people.

Simple reminders in the spirit of “study is light”, of course, will not make everyone without exception professors, but in some way they can broaden the mass horizons. And broadening one’s horizons is a very important function of television, which seems to have been forgotten in prime time.
