The Scouts presented the composition of their delegation to President Pavlo and informed him about their preparation for the jamboree.

According to the organizers, the World Scout Jamboree is an opportunity for young scouts to meet people of different nationalities, cultures, languages and religions. Individual national expeditions present their culture, traditions, customs, national food or scouting activities at the meeting. This year’s event in South Korea has the motto “Draw your Dream” and the prepared program will focus on topics such as active citizenship, sustainable development and smart technology. Participants can also enjoy trips, games, sports competitions, handicraft workshops, musical performances and other activities.

Girl scouts and boy scouts from the Czech Republic will introduce other participants to Czech games and puzzles, tourist destinations, culture, nature and landscape, costumes, inventive companies or traditional delicacies. “Of course, they will also show the pod tent, which Czech scouts have been using for camping for 110 years and which always arouses well-deserved amazement and curiosity at similar events,” said ČTK Trojak when asked.

In addition to the young participants of the event from 14 to 18 years old, who can participate in the jamboree only once in their life, the expedition will also include their leaders and adult volunteers who will ensure the operation and program of the event.

The Boy Scout Jamboree returns to Korea after 32 years, having been held there for the first time in 1991.
