Pax Jolie-Pitt Steps Out at Sundance Following 2024 Health Scare

Nearly two years after a biking accident sent him to the hospital, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, is stepping out for a rare solo appearance. The 22-year-old was spotted attending a screening of the short film, “Self Custody,” during the Sundance Film Festival on January 23. The thriller, directed by Fernando Ferro and Garrett Patten, stars Henry Cejudo, Adrian Grenier and Adley Pearl Jones.
In July 2024, Jolie-Pitt was reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles after crashing his electric bicycle into a stopped vehicle in the Los Feliz neighborhood, according to reports from TMZ and the Los Angeles Times. Witnesses told TMZ that Jolie-Pitt, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, experienced hip pain and a possible head injury.
During the “Self Custody” screening, Jolie-Pitt posed for a photo with directors Ferro and Patten. He sported a red and blue flannel shirt layered over a black T-shirt and a silver pendant necklace.
Two months after the July 2024 accident, Jolie-Pitt joined his mother on the press tour for her films “Without Blood” and “Maria.” At the world premiere of “Without Blood” at the Toronto International Film Festival, the mother-son duo posed together on the red carpet in matching black formal wear.
Jolie-Pitt also attended a screening of Jolie’s psychological drama “Maria” at the New York Film Festival with siblings Zahara and Maddox.
Jolie-Pitt was adopted by Jolie and then-partner Brad Pitt in March 2007 after they met him during a visit to an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in November 2006. Jolie initially pursued the adoption as a single parent due to Vietnamese adoption regulations, and Pitt later adopted him as well.
