The case involving a legislative candidate from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) in the February 14, 2024 Legislative Election was handled by the Sampang Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Sampang Police, AKP Sigit Nursiyo Dwiyugo, said that the alleged fraud case involving the buying and selling of votes was reported by the DPR RI legislative candidate from PKS, Ahmad Azhar Moeslim (AAM).

“AAM is the victim, while the reported person is a figure and a former public official in Sampang Regency,” said AKP Sigit.

The alleged fraud case involving the buying and selling of votes for PKS legislative candidates occurred when the victim met a public figure in Sampang Regency.

At that time, the victim AAM asked the public figure to help him gain support from the people of Sampang, so that he could be elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

Then, the victim gave Rp. 1 billion to the figure through a trusted person.

At that time, the figure was said to have promised that the DPR RI candidate from PKS with serial number 9 would get the support of 35 thousand votes.

PKS legislative candidate for the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Azhar Moeslim (AAM), felt cheated because he paid IDR 1 billion but only got 9 votes during the election in Sampang.
