New Delhi: A big dilemma for the parents of children studying in Kendriya Vidyalayas is over. They can pay school fees through the app in a jiffy. NPCI Bharat Billpay (NBBL), a subsidiary of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has taken a big step in this direction. Under this, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, has been brought on the Bharat Billpay platform as a biller. KVS has been added under education fees category. This facility provided by Union Bank of India is important in terms of digital transformation of payments. KVS is one of the largest school networks in India.
14 lakh students will benefit
This partnership will enable parents of over 14 lakh students enrolled in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country to pay school fees through BHIM UPI and other Bharat BillPay-enabled channels like Phone Pay, Google Pay, etc. The addition of KVS as an education fee biller is in line with the Reserve Bank of India’s vision to expand the scope of BBPS (Bharat Bill Payment System) to enhance digital empowerment in India’s educational landscape.

Currently, BBPS offers a wide range of bill payment and collection services including utility bills (electricity, gas, phone, water, DTH, etc.), insurance premium renewal, loan repayment, OTT membership payment and Fastag recharge.
