After India’s failure in the World Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made major changes in the team. In view of this, the committee led by the then chairman Zaka Ashraf appointed the country’s former all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez as the team director. Although Hafiz is not in that post now. However, he did not get the full amount of the contract.
The Pakistani media Cricket Pakistan reported that Hafeez did not receive the money. Quoting a source, they said, Hafiz has not received his contracted amount yet. which included daily allowances for visiting Australia and New Zealand. Due to PCB President Mohsin Naqvi’s busy schedule, the issue is yet to be resolved.
Along with the team director, Hafeez also served as the temporary head coach in the series against Australia and New Zealand. However, after two months, Mohsin Naqvi’s board fired him. After that, Hafeez said through social media that PCB signed a four-year contract with him.
Currently, Hafeez is not with field cricket. He has changed his role and is working as an expert analyst on local television in Pakistan. But till now he has not openly said anything about his experience with PCB.
