The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) arrested, last Thursday (20), a 26-year-old suspect, with an open temporary arrest warrant, for the homicide that took place on April 13, in Ceilândia.
The crime took place on QNN 19, when, according to investigations, the young man beat the victim Daniel Ferreira da Silva, 46, to death. Even with the victim unconscious on the ground, the suspect continued to step on his head. The victim was sent to the Hospital de Base de Brasília (HBB), but he did not resist and died 4 days after admission.
The 19th Police Station (Ceilândia Norte) found that the crime was motivated by the fact that the victim went to ask the perpetrator about an aggression that he and his friends would have committed with another boy in the same place. According to witnesses, after brutally attacking the victim, the perpetrator glorified himself, saying: “I really hit him, I stepped on his head!”
At the police station, the suspect presented another version. He stated that the attacks would have started after a discussion between him and the victim about a possible sexual assault by the victim in the face of a 15-year-old girl with special needs.
If convicted, the prisoner could face up to 30 years in prison for the crime of qualified homicide.
