PD Kim Tae-ho, Purchases 30 Billion Won ‘New Building Site’ in Cheongdam-dong… “24 Billion Won Full Loan”

TEO, a content production company headed by producer Kim Tae-ho, purchased a townhouse in Cheongdam-dong.

The purchase price was a total of 30 billion won, of which 24 billion won was a corporate loan from Shinhan Bank.

According to the real estate industry on the 29th, Theo purchased a three-story multi-family house near the luxury goods street in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul in March of this year and paid the balance in June.

The land area is 808.89㎡ (245 pyeong), and the total floor area is 1759.04㎡ (533 pyeong).

According to the copy of the register of real estate, a mortgage with a maximum claim amount of 28.8 billion won was established on the land.

Considering that the maximum bond amount is usually set at 120% of the loan amount, it is estimated that Theo borrowed 24 billion won, or 80% of the purchase price.

Jeong Him-sol, deputy manager of Building Road Real Estate Brokerage, explained, “The townhouse in question has a total of six units, each with a different owner,” and “It is highly likely that the 30 billion won purchase price includes a portion of the ‘transfer fee.’”

Vice Minister Jeong Him-sol said, “According to the study, the first basement level of the land in question is designated as an underground parking lot, but it is actually exposed above ground because it is located on a slope.” He evaluated, “This land has many advantages in terms of floor area ratio and total floor area utilization, as it can be dug down to the second basement level and built up to the fourth floor above ground.”

He also said, “As the demand for new office buildings has been high recently, especially in Cheongdam-dong, it is expected that a new building (new office building) will be built.”

Meanwhile, PD Kim Tae-ho left MBC in 2021 and founded Theo under his own name, and has since presented numerous programs including Seoul Check-In, Earthquake World Travel, Dance Singer Troupe, Salon Drip, and My Name is Gabriel.
