The National Political Bureau of the Democratic Party of Guinea-African Democratic Rally (PDG-RDA) regrets to announce to the people of Guinea, the death of the great comrade ATTAHER MAIGA today Monday September 9, 2024 at 4 a.m. at his home in Démodoula in Conakry.
The National Political Bureau and the central committee, very distressed and at the same time dismayed by this news, inform all the structures of the party, federations, sections and basic committees of the disappearance of the greatest revolutionary of his time and who remained a loyal friend to President Ahmed Sékou Touré and to the Guinean revolution until his last breath.
The National Political Bureau, through its leader, Comrade Mohamed Touré, extends its deepest condolences to the ATTAHER family, to Prime Minister Lamine SIDIME, his son-in-law, to the leaders and activists of the PDG-RDA and to the entire people of Guinea.
Comrade ATTAHER MAIGA served not only the Republic of Guinea but also and above all the whole of Africa.
The National Political Bureau, in agreement with his family, announces the funeral according to the following program:
- Reading of the Quran on Thursday September 12 at 2 p.m. at the home of His Excellency Lamine SIDIMÉ
former Prime Minister - Body removed from Sino-Guinean Friendship Hospital at 10am Friday September 13
- Prayer over the body at the great Faisal mosque on Friday at 2 p.m. followed by burial at the Cameroon cemetery
The PDG-RDA invites its activists, sympathizers and all the people of Guinea to mobilize greatly to pay tribute to the great Comrade ATTAHIER MAIGA
