Secretary General (Sekjen) of the PDI Perjuangan, Hasto Kristiyanto, signaled that his party remains open to collaboration with other political parties in the upcoming 2024 simultaneous regional elections. He made this statement during a speech at the National Training (Pelatnas) event for the 2024 Pilkada Winning Team.
Hasto admitted that he and PDI Perjuangan Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri signed a letter of recommendation (SK) supporting candidates for the 2024 simultaneous regional elections before arriving at the Seruni Hotel. He claimed that the signed recommendations showed that PDI Perjuangan cadre formation was proceeding smoothly.
The Secretary General attributed this to the party’s successful political education program, which has resulted in the emergence of many new party cadres across Indonesia. He also emphasized that the PDI Perjuangan remained attractive to other parties, despite facing siege attempts from certain quarters.
