jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy Secretary General of the DPP for Communications of the PDI Perjuangan Adian Napitupulu stated that his party’s support for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada was not for sale.
“PDI Perjuangan is not for sale,” said Adian at the PDI Perjuangan DPP Office, Jakarta, Monday (19/8).
This follows the declaration of all political parties to support the prospective candidate pair in the Jakarta Gubernatorial and Deputy Gubernatorial Election, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono.
The former ’98 activist emphasized that his party would still not join the coalition and chose to be with ordinary people.
Meanwhile, the Head of the PDI Perjuangan DPP for Ideology and Cadre Development, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, admitted that the maneuvers of the parties that made all political parties outside the PDI Perjuangan gather to support Ridwan Kamil could be seen as a last-ditch effort to prevent his party from nominating other candidates in Jakarta.
For your information, the number of PDI Perjuangan seats in the Jakarta Provincial DPRD does not meet the number of candidate nomination requirements.
If PDI Perjuangan wants to nominate Anies Baswedan or Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, it will not be able to fulfill the requirements because other political party seats already support Ridwan Kamil.
“We can see from the declaration how it will be if that happens, PDI Perjuangan will automatically not be able to nominate,” said Djarot.
Adian Napitupulu confirmed that PDIP is not for sale in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
