News from Angola – A Association for Promotion, Development, Prosperity and Technology (PDPT) presented on Thursday, in Luanda, the Talent Identification and Development Programme, with which it will develop the entrepreneurial skills of 50 Angolan youths and teenagers.

The program will run for half a year and will grant scholarships in Angola and the United States to the most outstanding young people.

According to the President of the Association Pedro Godinho Domingos, technical-professional training is free and covers thematic areas such as entrepreneurship and information and communication technologies.

Pedro Godinho made it known on the sidelines of the program launch act that the 50 selected candidates will attend the Skills Development Program and will have support services for experimentation and acceleration of projects and detection of opportunities.

According to the organization’s mission to show the potential of Angolan children and young people through training and the development of entrepreneurship, the PDPT Association launched today the Talent Identification and Development Program (PIDT) and has a training program that lasts in Luanda.

The selection process for PIDT 2023 starts next May, with the launch of a public tender that will identify the 50 finalist beneficiaries. Candidates must be Angolan between 14 and 25 years old, attend or have already completed secondary or university education (public or private institution) and not be employed.

The program will value dynamic, committed, proactive, resilient young people with strong leadership characteristics.

At the end of the training cycle, the most outstanding young people will be nominated to receive scholarships in Angola and the United States of America.

Associação PDPT is a non-profit Angolan private law institution, established in 2020. It develops talent support programs and partnerships to stimulate entrepreneurship and general and technological skills of children and young people of school age.

PDPT’s work program is committed to strengthening relations between generations and between different social actors, as a way of boosting and promoting a spirit of tolerance and cooperation among children, young people and businesspeople around the world. These initiatives include exchange of experiences, scholarships and internships, nationally and internationally.

The PDPT Association also encourages the development of a culture of transparency, good governance, social and individual responsibility.
