The overall price earnings ratio (PE ratio) of the country’s main stock market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) fell by 4.31 percent in the outgoing week (August 18 to 22). This information was revealed on the basis of DSE’s weekly market review on Saturday (August 24).

PE ratio on DSE fell to 4.31 percent

At the beginning of the outgoing week, DAC’s PE ratio was 11.61 points. At the end of the week it stands at 11.11 points. As a result, PE ratio of DSE decreased by 0.50 points or 4.31 percent during the week.

At the beginning of the previous week (August 11 to 15), the PE ratio of DSE was 11.42 points. At the end of the week it stands at 11.61 points. As a result, DSE’s PE ratio increased by 0.19 points or 1.66 percent during the week.

Sector-wise PE ratios are 6.32 points in banking sector, 8.81 points in energy and power sector, 12.19 points in jute sector, 12.71 points in pharmaceuticals and chemical sector, 12.79 points in telecommunication sector, 13.47 points in general insurance sector. , 13.47 points in cement sector, 13.60 points in travel and leisure sector, 14.16 points in textile sector, 14.91 points in engineering sector, 15.94 points in services and housing sector, 16.83 points in food and accessories sector, financial sector at 17.37 points, paper and printing sector at 18.54 points, IT sector at 18.81 points, tannery sector at 19.07 points, mutual fund sector at 23.60 points, miscellaneous sector at 27.95 points and ceramic sector at 117.24 points is located
