Capital Market Rebounds, PE Ratio Rises in Bangladesh
The capital market in Bangladesh has experienced a resurgence in recent weeks, despite the changing economic climate. This surge has led to a significant increase in the overall price earnings ratio (PE ratio) of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to the DSE’s weekly market review released on Saturday (August 10), the PE ratio of the main index closed at 13.52% during the period from August 5th to 8th. This represents an increase of 1.36 points or 13.52% from the previous week.
The PE ratio began the week at 10.06 points and ended at 11.42 points. This notable rise follows a slight decline in the previous week, where the PE ratio decreased by 0.32 points or 3.32%.
