MotoGP champion Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia and Domizia Castagnini marry in Pesaro. VIP wedding in the afternoon at the cathedral of Pesaro with the winner of three world titles (in 2018 in moto2, and in 2022 and 2023 in motogp) the traditional long wait in front of the church, for the bride who arrived 40 minutes late. The central Via Rossini was closed to traffic for hours. Crowds around the cathedral: the fans undoubtedly waited in the sun for the arrival of the bride and groom, from Piedmont from Chivasso, and the guests, including Valentino Rossi and his much-admired wife, as well like the singer Cesare Cremonini and his girlfriend. All the drivers of the Vr46, Valentino Rossi’s team, were present, including Franco Morbidelli and Marco Bezzecchi, Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini. The cathedral, rich in mosaics, was decorated with a turquoise carpet and bright colored flowers together with pampas and small white flowers: the bride had a lace dress from the Ratti shop with a three meter train; the groom excited gray suit, boutonniere, light blue tie. The ceremony, celebrated by Don Mario Florio, was off limits to those not invited to the wedding, with bouncers at the entrance.
At the end of the event, a shower of rice and white flower petals welcomed the union of a couple who decided years ago to live in Pesaro, so much so that the Piedmontese Bagnaia received honorary citizenship of the city. Afterwards dinner at Villa Imperiale at a cost of € 6,000 to rent the ancient residence on the hills of San Bartolo, with a menu entrusted to the star chef Massimo Bottura. Modena-style tortellini and Pollok-style veal as well as many culinary surprises and exclusive wines. There are about 250 guests for the newlyweds, the car chosen is also exclusive: a gray Porsche 356 spider from the 1950s going from via Rossini towards Villa Imperiale amid the applause of people armed with mobile phones with batteries thrown by the thousands of shots and videos.
