jpnn.com – HIYAMA MOTEGI – Francesco Bagnaia a.k.a Pecco finished first in the Japanese MotoGP sprint, at the Motegi Mobility Resort Circuit, Hiyama Motegi, Saturday (5/10) afternoon WIB.

Pecco gets a windfall. The main Ducati factory racer took advantage of Pedro Acosta’s failure to finish the race.

Acosta, the pole position, looks crazy. Starting from first place, Acosta did lose the front position, taken by Pecco, but soon Acosta overtook Pecco.

Acosta leads, quite far behind Pecco and Bastianini.

However, when there were four (out of 12) laps left in the sprint, Acosta slipped, fell and failed to finish the race.

Pecco takes the lead. Bastianini was second, and Marc Marquez, who started 9th, performed extraordinary and threatened Bastianini.

In the remaining two laps, Marquez vs Bastianini became a tense spectacle.

In the end, Pecco finished first, Bastianini second, Marquez third, and Jorge Martin, who started from 11th place, finished in 4th position.

Marc Marquez overtook Enea Bastianini when the Japanese MotoGP sprint had two laps remaining.
