The Dane, 2019 world champion, won in the sprint this Thursday in Naples, sixth stage of the Tour of Italy.

Dane Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo) won the sprint of the 6th stage of the Tour of Italy on Thursday in Naples, where the peloton caught up with the two breakaways, Australian Simon Clarke and Italian Alessandro De Marchi, just 300 meters from the finish.

The 2019 world champion thus became the 104th rider in history to win a stage in the three major cycling tours.

The Norwegian Andreas Leknessund retains the leader’s pink jersey with 28 seconds ahead of the Belgian Remco Evenepoel, the big favorite of this Giro who had a quiet day after his double fall the day before.
