Prosecuted for sexual assault, corruption of minors and/or rape of 25 children, some of whom were 10 or 11 years old, in Malaysia, it emerged from the remarks made by the accused at the bar that he had had sexual relations with around a hundred minors in this country, but also with several hundred others in Thailand and elsewhere. The prosecution’s requisitions were followed in all respects by the court. The president of the criminal court justified this extremely heavy sentence by the no less extreme seriousness of the facts, and their very long duration over time. The magistrate underlined the cynicism of the modus operandi, the odious nature of the facts themselves and the perversity of the condemned man who objectified the children without any consideration of their humanity.
