At the invitation of the Embassy of China in Bulgaria, the Mayor of the Municipality of Ruse Pencho Milkov and the Deputy Mayor in charge of “International Programs and Projects, Investments and Property” Zlatomira Stefanova participated in the official opening of the Bulgarian-Chinese Investment Forum and a trade exhibition of leading Chinese companies in the field of technology, innovation, digitalization, transport and energy. The high-class Chinese exhibition for finding business partners was held at the NDK in Sofia. This was announced by the press center of Ruse Municipality.
It was organized by the Embassy of China and “InvestBG” Agency.
25 large Chinese companies (Huawei, ZTE, Hisense, Great Wall, etc.), 4 Bulgarian and international agencies participated, presenting Chinese products covering renewable energy, digital transition, financial services, consumer electronics, infrastructure repair, electric vehicles , biotechnology, logistics.
President Rumen Radev gave a welcoming speech to the attendees. The head of state personally congratulated Ruse Mayor Pencho Milkov for his active role in supporting foreign investors. The mayor also received congratulations on the cooperation with China from H.E. Dai Qingli – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Bulgaria. During the talks, it was emphasized that the relations of the Ruse municipality with China are constantly deepening in the sphere of culture, business and sports. An agreement on the twinning of Ruse with the Chinese city of Yichun, Jiangxi Province, is to be concluded soon.
The opening of the forum was attended by representatives of the Bulgarian government – ministers and deputy ministers, heads of Bulgarian business companies, legal and legal firms and banks.
The event, which aimed to promote bilateral investment cooperation, is part of the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China.
