Investors around the world are on high alert ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate hike announcement tomorrow. Due to this, today’s domestic stock markets started with losses. In the overall markets, the BSE midcap index was down 0.77 percent at 23,485.08, while the smallcap index was down 0.72 percent at 26,545.71. One of the benchmark indices, BSE Sensex, was trading 0.75 percent lower at 55,345.78. Bajaj Finserv, Power Grid Corporation of India and Reliance Industries were the top gainers on the Sensex. Infosys, Axis Bank, Nestlé India are losing markets. The Nifty 50 index traded in losses at 16,507.40. In the Nifty 50 index, Bajaj Finserv and Power Grid Corporation of India were the gainers.

While the markets were in losses, shares of Kenvi Jewels Ltd, Shree Ganesh Biotech India and Lambother Textiles were top gainers on the Sensex with gains of over 19 percent. Not only BSE Utilities, BSE Power but all sectors are losing today. BSE IT and BSE Tech sectors are losing more than 2 percent. Thus, the markets fall further.
