Pension reform: has the European Union put pressure on France to adopt it?

The small voice has been whispering the same speech in the ear of France since 2013. To raise the bar, believes the European Union, France would do well to put in place a vast pension reform that would put an end to the multiple special regimes. In each “European semester”, a half-yearly document in which Brussels analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of each member country, pensions are always mentioned in the column “structural reforms to be carried out” in France.
