The info not to miss
Unions call for a 14th day of mobilization on pensions Tuesday, like a swan song, two days after the publication of the first decrees for the application of the reform, and two days before a bad start attempt to deal a political blow to the reform in the Assembly. Some 250 demonstrations and rallies are planned across France. Secretary General of FO, Frédéric Souillot expects a million demonstrators in the streets, while the authorities expect between 400,000 and 600,000 people, including 40,000 to 70,000 in the capital.
Few disruptions are announced in public transport: “very slightly disrupted” traffic at SNCF, with “nine out of ten trains” on average, and “normal” in Île-de-France on the entire RATP network . On the other hand, a third of flights are canceled on departure from Paris-Orly. In Paris, the demonstration will leave the Invalides at 2 p.m. towards the Place d’Italie. The unions will hold their press point in front of the National Assembly, symbolically marking the link with the day on Thursday, during which will be examined a bill from the Liot group aimed at repealing the reform.
