/ Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder revealed on Wednesday the number of attacks launched on US forces in the region since a drone attack on a base in Jordan on January 28.
Ryder said there have already been three attacks on US forces in the region since a Jan. 28 drone attack on a base in Jordan that killed three soldiers and wounded more than 40 others.
The Pentagon spokesman indicated that the attack would be followed by an American response.
The US Department of Defense declined earlier on Tuesday to comment directly on a statement by the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades announcing a halt to all military operations against US forces in the region, but said: “Actions speak louder than words.”
The Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades announced, on Tuesday evening, the suspension of its operations against American forces in order to “not embarrass the Iraqi government,” recommending that its fighters “temporarily defend themselves passively.”
