Jacob Alordi (24) He’s one of the youngest and most popular actors in Hollywood today – you may have seen him in the “Kissing Stand” movie series or in the “Euphoria” series in which he stars, which made him an industry-leading teen star. But like quite a few Hollywood stars who can boast of an attractive look, Alordi often finds himself trying to obscure the image of the “beautiful guy” who clung to him. In an interview with Men’s Health magazine, he takes the issue one step further and talks about an issue that usually receives little attention – the desire of men in the entertainment industry.

“I don’t think it’s something people do,” he says. “It does not deprive me of sleep but it is definitely frustrating. In the photos I change clothes and someone will wake up ‘look at him’. Imagine I would say to a woman ‘wow, what a waist!’. They would throw me out. I would never do that, but I think people see That it happens on screen and they think it’s okay. “

Alordi claims that he often feels treated and judged only by his appearance: “You quickly realize that the things people concentrate on when they watch your movies are your height and shape. People of different ages all over the world only talk about how you look.”

Alordi is indeed very tall – he rises to a height of 1.96 meters and the actresses next to him are often forced to stand on crates or, alternatively, he is forced to find flattering ways to crouch down to blur the differences between them. He for his part claims that he is not really that tall, but for some reason always finds himself playing alongside women much shorter than him, e.g. Joey King At the “Kissing Stand” andAlexa Demi In “Euphoria”: “Everyone says ‘you are so big!’. Yes, but they are not high, not even at an average height. They are quite short.” He tells.

When he was 15 his mother offered him to start modeling but the modeling agencies he approached told him he was too tall. Alordi did not regret the rejection too much, on the contrary: “I am grateful for that. I think I would have been very unhappy if I had done that.”

A Hollywood cliché, one of many, refers to those handsome-looking actors who are determined to prove that they are truly talented and more than a pretty face soup. Alordi also comes into this pattern and there is no escape from admitting, Alordi’s handsome appearance definitely plays a weight in his projects. On the screen he often appears shirtless and also in campaigns in which he takes part, such as that of Calvin Klein – he is dressed only minimally.

But it turns out that if it was up to him, he probably would have stayed dressed – he explains that as long as the audience focuses more on his looks and less on his acting abilities, he will never be perceived as a serious player: “It’s a slippery slope In the end”.

This is not to say that he invests less in his fitness training – his appearance may help him in terms of his career, whether he is happy with it or not, but the sport he practices and loves to do is mainly for the mind and health. Alordi comes from a particularly athletic family, his mother for example was a personal trainer and he himself was an athlete at school, so training and healthy eating were a matter of routine for him as a child. He’s training, he says, to feel good now and even when he’s 80.

He was originally Australian, and in his youth he attended a private, white Catholic-only school: “An eye-opening experience,” he describes his days then, “I do not think the way they teach there contributes to the education of young men,” he says, adding that the school emphasizes fitness. And sports and flag in the mentality of “all or nothing”: “The bigger and stronger – the better.”

He used to play rugby until during one of the games he broke a bone in his back, which disabled him for a whole year. Apparently it was a blessing under the guise of a curse for Allordy, who at this point was already beginning to realize that he would rather be an actor at all: “I knew I did not enjoy sports and it allowed me to run towards the stage, which was very rewarding.”

When he was 19 he moved to Los Angeles to try his luck and luck certainly did not linger to brighten his face, and to an enviable degree it should be noted, as only two years later he had already landed the lead role on Netflix’s Kissing Stand, making him an almost overnight star. He then took part in two sequels, got a major role in the series “Euphoria” and next year will have a slight break from the genre of youth dramas, thanks to a role in the thriller Deep Water, in which he stars alongside the former couple Ben Affleck andAnna de Armes.

Speaking of famous exes, Alordi answered another Hollywood cliché and went out with two of the stars next to him, Joey King andZendaya. He then deviated from his habit and was in a relationship with someone outside the set: Kaya Gerber
(20), the daughter of the top model Cindy Crawford And a successful model in her own right. The two dated for about a year but broke up a few weeks ago, and their associates explained that the reason for the breakup was that they did not find time to meet. Since then he has apparently managed to find free time for someone else – and in recent days has been spotted alongside the network star Olivia Jade (22), the daughter of the actress Lori Locklin.

Despite the breakup, Lordi still seems to think fondly of his new estranged wife and tells of her: “She knows how to behave wonderfully in public, and I have learned so much from her, about how to cope and not attach importance to what is said.”

Although he does not seem to have a problem in the romantic realm, nevertheless, the guy has done quite a bit in the few years he has been in Hollywood, Alordi admits he has not been able to form too many social connections: “I know few people, I have some friends. But it does not bother me. I “Here to work, and I’ll come home when I can.” At the same time he says he does not want to sink into work: “I just want to have a life. I want to have the same experiences that people in their 80s or 85s have during their lives, I do not want to miss anything.”
