As people started leaving the city around the long holiday of Eid, the pressure of passengers on road, sea and train increased. Passengers have also increased by air. However, the overflowing crowd of homebound people has not yet started. As people return home, Dhaka is gradually becoming empty.

Today (Saturday) it was found that the rush of passengers has increased at Kamalapur railway station, Gabtali, Sayedabad and Mohakhali bus terminals and Sadarghat launch ghat in the capital. The bus is leaving at the scheduled time. Due to the pressure of vehicles on the highway, traffic jams are being created. However, despite the disruption in the railway schedule at the beginning of the day, the schedule got fixed as the day progressed. At Sadarghat Terminal, there were more launch passengers on Friday than any other time. But there was not much pressure. As a result, there is still a lot of comfort in sea travel. Various organizations including BIWTA, law and order forces, fire service, coast guard are working to ensure smooth Eid journey. Abul Kalam, officer-in-charge of Sadarghat naval station, said that several teams of naval police are patrolling the Buriganga river and the terminal. The situation is good.

13 Police Instructions: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued 13 instructions on the occasion of Eid. Marine anchor chain made of steel shall be used for locking. Motorcycles should be fitted with GPS trackers and better quality disc locks should be used on wheels. If you accept a friend request sent on Facebook in the name of an IPS or BCS officer, army officer, etc. from the country or abroad, you may be cheated or a victim of blackmailing. Therefore, such friend requests should not be accepted. Do not accept video calls from strangers whose name and address you do not know. They can blackmail you by recording obscene pictures or videos sent in such video calls and collect money.

The DMP guidelines also state that no person can close your bank account or Bikash or cash account. These accounts may ask you for account password or PIN number repeatedly in various ways, threatening to close the account. Password or pin code cannot be given under any circumstances after receiving such a phone call. If you get a phone call saying money has gone into your Bkash account by mistake, don’t believe it without checking. Don’t believe that you have won the lottery or receive a mobile phone call saying that you will send expensive gifts or dollars from abroad. Fraudsters steal lakhs of rupees by saying that money has to be paid at airport customs or NBR or Bangladesh Bank. Do not fall into such temptation under any circumstances.

DMP’s further request to the public – Do not believe in the lure of making crores of rupees by investing in border pillars made of expensive metals. Fraudsters steal crores of rupees by showing fake pillars. In reality there is no such pillar. If you receive a request to send urgent money to a relative, friend or acquaintance in danger on Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, IMO etc., do not send any money without contacting that person’s mobile number or the mobile number of his family members. Such requests are sent by stealing mobiles or hacking different IDs. Don’t believe Facebook accounts or apps that offer cheap hotel rentals, plane tickets, or low-cost shipping to Europe, Canada, or America.
