As far as India is concerned, no matter how many changes are made in the rupee notes, the number of people printing and circulating counterfeit notes is on the rise. It has been reported that the RBI has decided to change the new 500 rupee notes in that manner. In this case, the ₹ 2000 note is not in high circulation at present. So only ₹ 500 note is in circulation.
This has led to a 102% increase in the circulation of counterfeit ₹ 500 notes. So in order to eradicate this counterfeit note currently in circulation, ₹ 500 rupee note is to be used with the best secured paper ink of the US based company. Thus the new 500 with changes is expected to come out soon.
