People of various classes and professions, including students, are protesting in different places of the country including the capital, demanding ‘Protest of killings and 9 points by attacking the peaceful movement of students and citizens across the country’. People flocked to the central Shahid Minar area of the capital. Here, the agitators chanted slogans of ‘Bhua, Bhua’ to the rhythm of various musical instruments including drums and tambourines.
Protesters were seen dancing and chanting different protest slogans in the central Shahid Minar square of the capital from noon on Saturday (August 3). Placards with various anti-government texts were seen in their hands.
According to the pre-announced program, the agitators started gathering at the central Shaheed Minar square before 2 o’clock on Saturday. People are coming in groups from different places of the capital.
The area around Shahid Minar square has become agitated with the slogans of the protesters. The rickshaw pullers are also seen shouting slogans along with the protestors.
Earlier on Friday, Abdul Hannan Masood, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, announced the program in a video message.
