Türkiye is at the forefront in this list. The per capita annual consumption of tea in this country is 3.16 kg. Türkiye ranks fifth in the world in terms of tea production. About six percent of the world’s tea production occurs in Türkiye. Tea is produced in the country, especially in the hills around the rise of the Black Sea Coast. Ireland is at second place in this list. The per capita annual consumption of tea in this country is 2.19 kg. In Britain, which has popularized tea all over the world, every person drinks 1.94 kg of tea in a year. The per capita annual consumption of tea in Pakistan is 1.5 kg. Tea is not produced in Pakistan and is completely dependent on imports. In Iran, Russia, Morocco, New Zealand, Chile, Egypt and Poland, one to 1.5 kg of tea is consumed per capita annually.
