The Minister in charge of solidarity Imelde Sabushimike was delighted that the people housed in this center are in good health. She praised the good collaboration with those around her despite misunderstandings linked to cases of theft recorded during the occupation of this center.

Minister Imelde Sabushimike indicated that the objective of this Munzenze center is to re-educate these people removed from the streets. The ministry, through two of its projects: Projet Enfant Soleil (PES) and Center for the Supervision and Reintegration of Children of Sun (CERES), provides supervision with the support of development partners.
She said that they will return to their households after having had patriotic training and advice that as soon as they arrive in their respective families they will have to get down to development work.

Minister Imelde Sabushimike warned those removed from the streets that once returned to the streets they will be exposed to sanctions in accordance with the law against begging.

Minister Imelde sabushimike promised the children of this center of school age that her ministry will do everything to ensure that they return to school next year and for adults, they will learn trades to develop themselves because the place of children is at school not on the street.

The Minister of National Solidarity, Social Affairs, Human Rights and Gender Imelde Sabushimike provided aid of 8 tonnes of rice, clothes, shoes, towels and underwear for the children.

The Minister in charge grants aid of 90 rabbits including 20 males and 70 females to the Association for the promotion and emancipation of young entrepreneurs of Mugera hill in Mishiha commune in Cankuzo province.

She welcomed the initiative to come together in an association to develop in order to respond to the government’s call to fight against poverty.

Minister Imelde Sabushimike concluded her visit to the village of the Batwa community of Nyarurambi commune Cankuzo. She had provided herself with aid of 1 ton of rice and 120 rabbits which she granted to this community.
