The hunger strike of social activist Velupillai Madhava Major in Pudukudiripu Nagar area of Mullaitivu district is continuing for the third day on 11.01.2023, urging all parties, organizations and individuals who love Tamil nation to unite for the permanent solution of Tamil Desam.
Some of the people and people’s representatives are giving their support to the hunger strike started in Pudukudiripu city on 09.01.2023.
Velupillai Madhava Major and his relatives, who are on a fast in the protest field, held a media meeting and gave their opinion to the media while the protest is being continued today for the third day to emphasize the unity of the Tamil parties.

Curse of Elamites
Tamil people will not get anything from any country. This is a lesson of history. Tamil people realize this. We have lost one and a half lakh people for the liberation of Tamils. We have lost more than 65 thousand heroes. Till today, relatives are locked up in prisons as life prisoners as political prisoners.
So, if we want to win all the rights, we need political power, if we destroy that political power, then the incident that happened in Mullaitivu Kurundur hill will happen in Pudukudiriru land at that time.
Political confusion
In the journey to maintain our political strength, there was a political confusion surrounded by the Tamil National Federation, which was formed by our forefathers for the unity of Tamils. This is the strength of Tamils. In 2015 efforts were made to break up the TNA which was in a state of flux.
Today, efforts are being made to break through the local council elections, for which the Tamil people in the north-east have carried banners on the streets and carried out a religious protest from district to district. So I thought about how I could bring them together. As a result of that, I led a hunger strike and they gave me great support.
Rights struggle
This is not my struggle, our rights struggle is the people’s struggle. I wish to expand this struggle into a people’s struggle. Madhava Major said that the people should choose who they need for Tamil Desiyam and I hand over that decision to you.
