Araah There are frequent incidents of trains getting derailed in the country. In Muzaffarpur itself, four bogies of a goods train got derailed late on Thursday evening. On the other hand, many railway sleepers are seen damaged near Charpokhari halt on Ara-Sasaram railway section under Pandit Deen Dayal Railway Division. Concrete sleepers are broken at many places including pillar number 28/12 and trains are running on these broken tracks. In such a situation, a rail accident can happen anytime. On Friday, there was a stir after information from local people. It is being told that a total of seven pairs of trains including Ranchi Express and Bhabua Intercity operate on Ara-Sasaram railway section.
Many trains pass at a speed of 100 km per hour every day
Trains like Bhabua Intercity and Ara-Ranchi Express pass through the place where broken sleepers were seen near Charpokhari Halt at a speed of 100 km per hour every day. Thousands of people also travel on this rail section daily through these passenger trains. But after this matter came to light, there has been a stir in the railways. Local people have informed the officials of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Mandal about this. People are also commenting on the video being shown by the people and now this video is becoming increasingly viral on social media. However, NBT Online does not confirm this viral video.
Many sleepers have cracks in the middle
Local resident Govind Kumar said that a few days ago this sleeper was slightly broken near pillar number 28/12, but due to lack of maintenance it has broken a lot. Two kilometers on both sides of the halt were inspected, in which it was found that many sleepers have cracks in the middle, while many are broken from the sides. The pedestal is also loose. This line is also not inspected regularly for maintenance.
Railway Minister Lalu Prasad inaugurated it in 2009
According to the local people, this railway line is more than 14 years old, if it is inspected closely, dozens of deficiencies will be found, but the inspection of this railway section is negligible. Due to which the possibility of an accident remains. Ara-Sasaram railway section is an important railway line connecting South and North Bihar in a short distance. Operations started on this railway section in the year 2009. The then Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav flagged off the train from Hero. If the local people are to be believed, its sleepers have not been changed since then, due to which the process of breaking and cracking of the old sleepers continues.
Many actions initiated by the railways
After the matter came to light, PDU Railway Division PRO Deepak Kumar said that cognizance is being taken of the information about cracks appearing in the sleepers between Charpokhari and Gadhani, and further action is being taken.
