BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that the people will never let the government’s dream of enjoying power for a long time be fulfilled.
He said this in a statement on Sunday (July 7) night.
BNP Secretary General expressed deep concern over the denial of bail to Pirojpur District Youth Dal convener Maruf Hasan and sending him to jail.
In the statement, BNP Secretary General said that the Awami ruling group has become more reckless and tyrannical by seizing power through farce elections on January 7 due to lack of public support. BNP and its affiliates and affiliates have started a severe crackdown on opposition leaders and activists in order to seize state power through authoritarian rule.
He said that sending the opposition leaders and activists to prison by denying bail along with sentencing in false cases by the court has now become the main goal of the illegal Awami occupying government. Convenor of Pirojpur District Youth Dal, Maruf Hasan was denied bail and sent to jail. However, the people will never let the dream of the Awami government to enjoy illegal power for a long time by oppressing the people and the opposition leaders and activists come true.
Fakhrul said, “I am deeply concerned about the fact that BNP and opposition parties are being denied bail by the courts all over the country. At the same time, I demand his immediate unconditional release along with the withdrawal of the false case filed against Maruf Hasan.
