PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN AN INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION SITUATION IN SPAIN: SITUATION, CHALLENGES AND PROPOSALS THIS RESEARCH IS INTENDED TO BE ANOTHER CONTRIBUTION SO THAT THE LIFE PROJECTS OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES WHO SEEK REFUGE IN OUR COUNTRY CRYSTALIZE WITH DIGNITY AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND RIGHTS.
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This study makes visible people with disabilities who are asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection in Spain. It presents an overview of their situation and defines concrete actions to improve their protection and inclusion within the asylum and refuge framework. It collects the most common needs and demands experienced by people with disabilities in a situation of international protection: from the lack of personalized and accessible information about their rights and obligations, needs regarding access to services linked to disability, neglected emotional needs, to problems of exclusion in the processes of participation and decision-making.
