Laureate of international competitions, violinist from the Czech Republic Janel Najafly was awarded an honorary diploma at the international competition Victoria Music Competition for Violin in Barcelona (Spain), Day.Az reports.

The competition jury was headed by the President of the Musical Foundation named after Yu.I. Yankelevich, laureate of State Prizes, People’s Artist of the USSR, Professor Viktor Tretyakov. The jury included such eminent musicians and teachers as professors Natalya Likhopoy and Laya Monserat. The competition was attended by representatives from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Croatia, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, Great Britain and the USA.

22-year-old Janel Najafly is a student of the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School, the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli and the Czech Conservatory in Pilsen. She was a soloist of the Aysel children’s musical theater under the direction of People’s Artist Ogtay Zulfugarov, the Tutti State Children’s Orchestra under the direction of People’s Artist Teymur Goychaev, and the State Youth Orchestra under the direction of People’s Artist Murad Adygezalzade. Janel Najafly is a laureate of international competitions and festivals in Azerbaijan, Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Belgium, the USA, Turkey and other countries.
