Pep Guardiola reacts to the news that PSG has offered Brazilian superstar Neymar to Manchester City.
French media outlet Le Parisien reported that PSG approached Manchester City to sign Bernardo Silva, and that PSG offered Neymar to the English club as part of the deal. The report also said that City rejected the opportunity to acquire Neymar.
But City coach Guardiola says that the news that PSG has offered Neymar to Manchester City is not true. “Sorry, but it’s not true,” Guardiola said. “Their information is not correct, the information I have is that Neymar is an incredible player, he is an incredibly good person. But that is not true.”
Manchester City are gearing up for the new season after signing Erling Haaland, Stefan Ortega and Calvin Phillips in the summer transfer window. The forward Julian Alvarez, who was acquired last season, has also joined the team. Meanwhile, City are interested in Brighton star Mark Cucurella. The star is also likely to be brought to the City team before the summer transfer window closes.
