The doctor also recalled that Mujica has pre-existing illnesses, such as kidney failure, “which worsen” due to lack of fluids. Last week, the former president was already admitted to the hospital after having difficulty eating due to the radiotherapy treatment he received months ago for malignant tumors in the esophagus.
