Deportivo Pereira and Pasto faced each other in the continuation of date 3 of Liga BetPlay 2024-I and both teams needed to win, since they had not added three points in the current season.
Both Matecañas and Nariñenses finished with few scoring options, where there was not much clarity in attack, but towards the end, Jersson González’s team managed to take advantage of the local team’s poor positioning and added their first three points of the League.
The first half did not have enough opportunities and the danger was very limited, in which no one seemed to be superior on the field of play.

However, Pereira’s attempts did not work and Pasto managed to take advantage of the fact that the matecañas were in play. Those led by Jersson González took advantage of a defensive error, they went at speed down the left side and José Bernal managed to define against Franklin Mosquera to open the scoring in the 83rd minute.
That minimal advantage was managed by Pasto, who protected himself and in the end managed to beat Pereira in the Hernán Ramírez Villegas. In addition, it turned out to be the first victory in the Jersson González era.
