DIG/ The oil company Perenco Oil & Gas Gabon (POGG) in partnership with the Catholic University of Africa-Ecoles des Ingénieurs (UCAC-ICAM), carried out, for two weeks, an information campaign among students of secondary schools in general and technical education in the towns of Port-Gentil, Franceville, Leconi, Moanda Lambaréné and in greater Libreville.

This information campaign made it possible to raise awareness among first and final year students in scientific and technical classes, on the one hand. And, on the other hand, the students of the USTM (Faculty and Ecole Polytechnique), and those of the School of Mines and Metallurgy of Moanda of DUT and License.

This communication aimed to present the opportunity to fully cover work-study engineering studies via its partnership with UCAC-ICAM. At the end of the engineering training, the best among them will be integrated into Perenco.

To qualify for sponsorship, all you need to do is be among the best in the general engineering or process engineering sectors, at the end of the national competition organized in June and August 2024.

“We have the ambition to travel throughout Gabon in order to reach all layers of the Gabonese population,” said Axel Fouty, the Human Resources Director of this company.

This is why an additional step was taken this year by visiting the students of Leconi and Lambarene.

As a reminder, between 2019 and 2024, Perenco Oil and Gaz sponsored 21 students. And in 3 years, the number of students increased from 4 to 21.

Which is a mark of attention to the training and development of the Gabonese elite of tomorrow.
