The ticket sales status based on KOPIS was calculated to be 5,590 performances, 32,095 performances, approximately 5.71 million tickets purchased, and ticket sales of approximately 379.5 billion won. Compared to the same period last year, ticket reservations increased by 5.7% (approximately 310,000 tickets) and ticket sales increased by 15.7% (approximately KRW 51.4 billion).
By genre, Western music (classical) performed the most with 2,029 (36.3%), followed by popular music and theater with 931 (16.7%) and 917 (16.4%), respectively. In terms of number of performances, long-term plays and musicals were the most frequent, with 13,837 performances (43.1%) and 10,194 (31.8%), respectively.
The number of ticket reservations was 34.8% for musicals and 30.6% for pop music, and 56.1% for pop music and 31.1% of ticket sales were for pop music.
