West Hollywood to Host Free Shakespeare in the Parks Production of Pericles

A new adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic adventure will be performed six times this September at Kings Road Park, offering free admission to audiences of all ages.

The City of West Hollywood and Coeurage Ensemble will present a fresh take on William Shakespeare’s Pericles, bringing the timeless tale to life in an immersive outdoor setting. Performances are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays at 4 p.m. from September 6th through September 21st at Kings Road Park, located at 1000 N. Kings Road, West Hollywood, 90069.

Admission is free, making the production accessible to the entire community. Seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, though organizers encourage attendees to RSVP in advance via the Eventbrite link: https://pericles-weho2025.eventbrite.com.

The production, directed by Amanda mcraven, features a talented cast including Ted Barton, emily L. Gibson, Donna Simone Johnson, Kasper, Mateo Mpinduzi-Mott, and eddie Vona. McRaven, also the artistic director of Coeurage Ensemble, is known for her collaborative, feminist, and socially conscious theatrical work. She is also the founder and co-producer of Los Angeles Lady Arm Wrestlers, a performance series that supports local non-profits, and works extensively with systems-impacted and incarcerated individuals through theatre.
