District Court – Stara Zagora took the most severe measure of remand “detention” of the 36-year-old man, who was charged with causing 33 -year-old woman medium bodily injury /stabbed the victim’s leg/, resulting in a health disorder, temporarily life-threatening.The act was committed in conditions of domestic violence, as the two lived on a family basis, specified by the court.
The court accepted that there was a reasonable assumption that it was the accused who committed the crime for which he was brought to criminal responsibility. The court panel found that the gravity of the crime, the nature and the way it was committed give grounds to assume that the act is of a high degree of public danger and this suggests that the danger of committing another crime is real.
The decision of the court is subject to appeal and protest before the District Court – Stara Zagora within 3 days.
