Twitter’s owner Elon Musk has said that fake accounts in the name of celebrities will be permanently deleted.

A few days ago, Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and the world’s richest man, bought the internationally famous social networking site Twitter for around Rs 3,52,000 crore. After that, Elon Musk, who has been focusing on measures to increase the company’s revenue, announced on Twitter that a monthly fee of $8 (about Rs. 640 in India) will be charged to provide a blue code to confirm the identity of users.

In order to control costs, Elan, which is currently focusing on reducing the number of employees in the company, is laying off many employees of Twitter in various countries, including India.

In this case, celebrities from various fields including politics, sports and cinema have accounts on Twitter. There are also various fake Twitter accounts in the names of those celebrities. These fake accounts undermine the credibility of Twitter. Therefore, Elon Musk said that if you engage in impersonation by creating these fake Twitter accounts, those accounts will be permanently deleted without any notification.

In this regard, in a post published by Elon Musk on his Twitter page, we warned before deleting fake accounts. However, now that we have expanded our identity verification process, Twitter accounts of impersonating users will be permanently deleted without warning. This is a clear condition for getting Twitter’s ‘Blue Tick’ feature.
