jpnn.com – BANDUNG – Persib Bandung is in Group F of the AFC Champions League (ACL) 2, based on the results of the drawing held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Friday (16/8) afternoon.
From the results of the eastern region group draw, Persib is in one group with Zhejiang FC (China), Port FC (Thailand), and Lion City Sailors (Singapore).
One of the teams that Persib will face later is Thai Port FC, which has one Indonesian National Team player, Asnawi Mangkualam.
Commissioner of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat Umuh Muchtar commented on the results of the AFC Champions Series 2 group draw, stating that his party had no problem being in the same group as these teams.
“Persib has no problem in Group F, there are (clubs) China, Thailand, and Singapore. We will face them all, and hopefully there is a better way,” said Umuh.
The Persib boss also hopes that his team will not only enliven the competition, but also advance to the next round.
“Hopefully Persib will not only pass once, but can continue (to the next round),” he said.
He further said that of the three teams that are Persib’s opponents in Group F, one club from China, namely Zhejiang FC, is predicted to be a tough opponent for Marc Klok et al.
