jpnn.com – Persib Bandung will face PSBS Biak in the first match of the second round of Liga 1 2024/25 at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Saturday (11/1/2025).

Persib coach Bojan Hodak said his team was not at full strength. He only brought 22 players without two foreign legions, Ciro Alves and Kevin Mendoza.

“For us this will be very tough. We lost several players, some were suspended and there are some injured, but other players will get the opportunity and they have to take advantage of this,” said Hodak in a pre-match press conference, Friday (10/1/ 2025).

Hodak also revealed that there were a number of other players who had to be absent when facing the Pacific Storm -nicknamed PSBS-, namely Beckham Putra and Gustavo Franca who had accumulated yellow cards.

Even though they lost Beckham and Franca, Persib still has Mateo Kocijan and Zalnando.

Zalnando, who was brought in during the mid-season transfer window, is certain to be able to play.

“In the last match we got a yellow card, like Beckham and Gustavo had four yellow cards so they were absent from the next match,” he said.

“Mateo is back, Zalnando after being loaned to Semarang. So, there are two players who differentiate this team (in Papua),” he continued.
