jpnn.com – Supporter chaos occurred after the Persib Bandung match against Persija Jakarta at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Soreang, Bandung Regency on Monday (23/9/2024) evening.

A number of Bobotoh – Persib supporters – attacked the stewards. As a result, nine stewards were injured.

According to information circulating, this riot was triggered by an incident of verbal abuse allegedly carried out by a steward against female Bobotoh during a match against Thai club, Port FC in the AFC Champions League 2.

They became emotional and took it out by abusing the steward who was on duty in the spectator stands when Persib hosted Persija Jakarta.

Umuh Muchtar as Commissioner of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB) regrets the action which has tarnished the club’s name.

The Persib boss asked victims who felt they had received inappropriate behavior from unscrupulous stewards to report it to the police so that legal action could be taken.

“If there really is a victim, now all you have to do is report it to the police. So, if it is proven that there was harassment, I have also prepared the steward to be summoned,” said Umuh in Bandung, Friday (27/9).

Furthermore, Umuh does not confirm that there was any incident of harassment in any form towards the audience.

Umuh Muchtar asked victims of verbal harassment by stewards to report to the police.
